My journey into design began with a crayon in hand, turning walls into my first canvas. This early passion for art led me to formal studies at the School of the Art Institute, where a course in Visual Communication piqued my curiosity about the digital realm. After college, I embarked on a career in design, contributing to firms and startups like uBid.
During the dot-com era, I found myself questioning not just the aesthetics but the purpose behind designs: Why are we doing this, and for whom? This introspection steered me toward Information Architecture, where I focused on creating structures that developers and business stakeholders could understand and that resonated with end-users. Over time, this path naturally evolved into a broader exploration of user experience, strategy, research, and everything in between.
Recently, I’ve rekindled my love for drawing by creating pet portraits. This return to hands-on artistry allows me to connect with individuals on a personal level, celebrating the unique bond between people and their pets through custom artwork.
